Used Fitness Equipment Review of Stairmaster Stepmill 70000 PT

Used fitness equipment is steadily becoming a perfect alternative to buying gym equipment new or getting a less inferior home gym product. I recently had the opportunity to review the StairMaster Stepmill 7000 pt and was blown away with the this machine. Prior to this review I have to admit I wasn’t aware of this machine, I did see this piece of fitness equipment at the health club but never tried using the machine.

The reason I never tried the Stepmill initially was because I was intimidated by the size and then looking awkward getting on this flight of stairs on wheels. When you first see this fitness equipment in the gym the size blows you away because for all intents and purposes it’s like you took a section of steps and put an elevator belt on them to make you feel like you are constantly walking up a full set of stairs.

Do not let this piece of exercise equipment fool you because after I had gotten over my initial fear and read some tips on how to use this machine I was in awe of the kick butt workout I had gotten since you burn almost double the amount of calories you burn on a treadmill in less than half the amount of time.

When you first get on the machine you can get started by clicking the quick start button then just input the desired resistance level. I first started at a level 13 but quickly moved back down to a level 6 because I felt like I shot myself out of a cannon.

Second is that if you aren’t aware of the steps you’ll want to hold the rails on each side of you, I found holding the rails helped balance myself and allow me to slightly increase my resistance. You are given a very easy to read digital display that flashes the amount of floors you have climbed, the number of calories you have burned, the equivalent mileage you achieved and a number of other statistics that I found very helpful.

Now the down side to this StairMaster Stepmill 7000 PT is not only the initial intimidation factor but the cost, these pieces of fitness equipment cost over $5,000 brand new so you may have some trouble finding them at a health club. I have gone to several different gyms and there always seems to be at least 1 Stepmill but not a line like you would see for treadmills or ellipticals which having now used this exercise machine blows away any other machine in the health club.

Another note on getting this exercise equipment without shelling big dollar would be to find a quality used fitness equipment dealer. They can often sell you a StairMaster Stepmill 7000 pt for less than half if not cheaper. Whether you are a health club looking to add another piece of gym equipment or a single individual looking to add to your home gym this would be an excellent addition.

The reason is because of the amount of calories you burn in such a short amount of time. You hardly feel like you are working out yet you will quickly feel the effects which is why there is becoming a growing demand for the StairMaster Stepmill 7000 PT.

So in you are crunched for time or just want to double your caloric burn with a simple workout the Stepmill would fit your bill and exceed your expectations.
